„Behold Our Power“ – no words could better wrap up the sense of elation and power that accompanies metal fanatics battling in front of the stage. And what if we add some thrilling music, thrash/power metal tornado, that forces your fists to pump the air? This is a song written, played, sung and produced by Matthew Kiichi Heafy, the lead vocalist of Trivium, a man-institution of the American metal scene. Guest vocals were recorded by the one and only Chuck Billy, steel throat of the mighty Testament.
„Behold Our Power (The Mystic Festival Anthem)“ is the official anthem of Mystic Festival, the biggest metal festival in Poland. A festival where both Trivum and Testament were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd of metal maniacs.
„Having had the privilege of playing the incredible Mystic Fest, I knew exactly what the theme of this festival needed to be,“ says Matthew Kiichi Heafy about his song. „Mystic Festival’s energy is electric; its fans some of the best on the planet; its lineup uncanny; and the venue/ backstage/food/drinks… everything is perfect. Mystic took incredible care of Trivium and I – so it was easy to craft this behemoth of a song for Mystic.“
„It is our pleasure to present „Behold Our Power“ for Mystic Festival,“ adds the Trivium frontman. Thank you, Matt, it is an honor for us.
Mystic Festival 2022 will take place on 2-4th June 2022 at the Gdansk Shipyard. Line-up includes Judas Priest, Opeth, Mercyful Fate, Killing Joke, Mastodon, Heilung, Saxon Katatonia, Mayhem, Mist, Sólstafir, Igorrr, Obituary, Baroness, Vader, Kvelertak and many more – over 70 bands on 5 stages.
„We will bring this hell inside your home“ shouts Heafy at one point, but this particular line is not really about the festival. You actually have to leave your house to experience it. Mystic Festival takes place in Gdansk, next to the seaside, on the fantastic post-industrial grounds of the Shipyard (in the shadow of great history: it was the birthplace of the Solidarity movement that helped to bring down the Iron Curtain).
